4. Easy Installation
Designed for versatility, BARR can be installed using core-drilled, deck-mounted, or face-mounted posts, making it suitable for a variety of settings. You can install as both horizontal and raked (stairs) applications.
Installation for this system is typically much quicker than others as the panels are provided pre-welded and powder coated. Simply install your posts at required intervals, trim the panels to size (if required) and install between posts using the supplied brackets. For stairs it's the same process and the raked welded panels can be adjusted onsite to suit your rake angle of between 32-38°. It's that easy!

6. Installing On Stairs / Raked Sections (1000mmH only)
The BARR system can be easily installed on any raked sections, such as stairs. The 1380mm wide welded panels can be adjusted onsite to suit raked angles of between 32 and 38°.

8. What You Get
The BARR Balustrade system comes supplied as welded panels at varying lengths, depending what height is selected:
1000mmH: Panel length - 1733mmL
1200mmH: Panel length - 2205mmL
These can be used as fencing panels (full length), or as balustrading. Please note, max span between posts for balustrading is 1425mm, panels will need to be trimmed down to suit this application. If you'd like a price for use as fencing, please request a quote below.
The posts will be supplied as:
- Deck mount (bottom welded base plate)
- Face mount (side welded base plate)
- Core drilled (no base plate)
There is no change to the per metre pricing based on post type.
The panels and posts can be easily and neatly cut down as required using a multi-material or Aluminium blade in your power saw / mitre saw. If you have any questions about installation we are here to help!
9. Gate Kit
The BARR System gate kit allows you to create a gate using the Barr Balustrade panels and provided gate kit side frames. Here is a handy link to the Barr system gates kits, available in black or white, and to suit either 1000mm or 1200mm panels.
If you need a gate in your installation, simply order the total length of balustrade you require, including the gate section, then add the gate kit to your order.

All our balustrades are priced per metre and include everything required to complete your install (excluding post-to-ground fixings, these can be supplied separately to suit your installation: timber or masonry)
To order, simply calculate the total metres required for your project and add that quantity to your cart (round up to the nearest metre). Include the raked length of stairs by measuring along the angle of your stairs, top to bottom. Most stairs are close to 36° angle so you can use this handy guide to calculate the length based on either the rise or run if you can't measure the raked length:
